Participation in the BLN Retirees (Gold Card) Golf League is open to all BLN Retirees (Gold Card) members and their friends. Our League in 2016 had 36 members and our season was April through September. We are a mixed league with two (2) divisions. We play once during the months of April and May and then twice per month June through September for a total of 10 events. Here is the golf schedule in pdf or Word formats:

The procedure was to mail the completed form to the golf focal’s home address as described in the signup form (select either the pdf or Word format of the form whichever is easiest for you).

You may join anytime. However, dues were required by March 21, 2016 to participate in all events. Make checks of $55 payable to BLN Retirees (formerly BMA Gold Card).
League dues:: $50.00
10% BLN (BMA Gold) Administrative Fee: $5.00

Remember to send the checks payable to BLN and the completed signup form to: golf focal. Please be sure to provide: phone number, current e-mail address, and your preferences for playing partner(s).
We rely primarily on the internet. So, make sure we have your current e-mail address. You may obtain a signup form by clicking on ‘Signup Form’ at the top of this ‘Golf’ page. Please watch this BLN Retirees web page for the latest golf information, including: updated course information, pairings, forms, prize list, pictures etc.
1. Establish a GHIN number and handicap via the WSGA League I established.
• For those that chose this option, it takes 5 recorded 18 hole rounds of golf to establish your handicap. Until you have recorded 5 rounds, and obtained the official WSGA handicap, we will use the handicap established last year.
• Remember to record all your golf scores; not just those of our league.
• Once you receive your official handicap please send it to me and I will update your information. Additionally, should your handicap change during the season, it is your responsibility to let me know so I can update your information.
2. Use your existing GHIN handicap.
• We will use the GHIN handicap you provided when you registered.

3. Use the handicap that was established in last year’s league.
• In my initial communication last February, I stated that I would not be maintaining the system from the previous year. Consequently, your handicap would not change during our season. Which means, if your play improves or diminishes, your handicap would stay the same. However, Sherm Bigelow and Lyle McMahan have agreed to take on managing an internal handicap system.
• I provided them with scores from last year and they are preparing a system that will allow them to establish internal handicaps for the players that chose this option.
• Until that system is up and running; which may take until June, we will use the handicap from last year. Once their system is established, they will be able to provide any updates to player’s handicap using this approach.
