Executive Liaison (appointed) – Principal Officer of the Boeing Leadership Network Retirees (BLNR) Committee and represents that organization with the Boeing Leadership Network and other organizations. The Executive Liaison shall (1) participate as a non-voting member of the BLN Executive Board; (2) may bring appropriate matters to the attention of the BLN Executive Board and will report to the BLN Executive Board at such times as they may designate; (3) will set BLN Retirees Committee objectives consistent with the Articles of Incorporation; (4) will preside at meetings of the BLN Retirees Committee Board meetings; (5) shall appoint other Committee officers; (6) ensure that roles and responsibilities for BLN Retirees Committee officers are in place; and (7) will oversee all BLN Retirees Charter activities to ensure BLN Executive Board policies and procedures and the Articles of Incorporation are in compliance.

Secretary (appointed) — The Secretary shall (1) be responsible for maintaining all BLN Retirees Committee historical records; (2) record all monthly meetings, minutes, and action items for the BLN Retirees Committee; (3) schedule BLN Retirees meetings as directed by the Executive and Social Connections leaders; and (4) required to put together presentation materials (e.g. PowerPoint) for the BLN and BLN-R Executive Board meetings, attend and document minutes from sub-committee meetings, etc..

Treasurer (appointed) — The Treasurer shall (1) coordinate with the Social Connections Liaison leader to ensure all Event Coordinator’s Revenue and Expenditure activities are aligned to the BLN Executive Board policies and procedures for the current year forecast; (2) will attend all Social Connections Liaison meetings to ensure compliance of BLN Executive Board policies and procedures are in compliance; (3) coordinate with the BLN Business Office to ensure all Revenue and Expenditures from the BLN Retirees Committee are remitted to the Executive Board Treasurer; (4) all invoices shall bear his or her approval before submission to the Executive Board Treasurer for payment and coordinated with the BLN Business Office; (5) prepare all financial budgets for the BLN Retirees Committee and (6) Revenue and Expenditures will be reviewed and approved by the Executive Liaison leader of the Retirees Committee.

Membership and Communication (appointed) — The Membership and Communication shall (1) in conjunction with the BLN Business Office and Retirees Webmaster will identify an effective means of encouraging retiring eligible managers to become active Retirees members; (2) maintain, in conjuncture with the Webmaster, identification of all current active members and their interests in the BLN Retirees membership database; (3) serve as the focal point for any BLN Retirees member needing information or clarification on Retirees membership; (4) release all approved BLN Retirees members a welcoming letter and identification card; and (5) coordinate the release of all BLN Retirees communications to the active Retirees members; (6) in conjunction with the BLN Program Management Office develop, promote, and maintain programs appropriate for Face Book articles for the purpose of informing the Retirees members and their families; (7) have “Administrative Rights” to the Face Book account in order to manage additions and deletions of Boeing Leadership Network – Retirees members; (8) identify and submit activities for Retirees Facebook; (9) submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; and (10) attend events and meetings as requested by the Retirees Executive Liaison.

Webmaster (appointed) – The webmaster (1) shall represent and perform the technical activities of the Boeing Leadership Network-Retirees website; (2) shall participate as a non-voting member of the BLNR Board; (3) may bring appropriate web and other technical matters to the attention of the BLNR Board; (4) will analyze, select, design, test, implement, and maintain the technical components for the website including the BLNR database, database downloads, web hosting service, mass email applications, other communication tools, web page content, and web design tools; (5) shall train and communicate regularly with technical backup; (6) shall report and, with the approval of the BLNR Board, prepare and submit website costs to the BLNR Treasurer; (7) shall ensure the monthly Newsletter is ‘web ready’, publish Newsletter to the web, and send monthly email announcement of the Newsletter to BLNR members; (8) shall help members resolve any questions pertaining to the BLNR website and refer members to other BLNR Board members as necessary; (9) shall attend events and meetings as requested by the Retirees Executive Liaison.

Mentoring(appointed) — The Mentor shall in conjunction with the BLN Executive Board (1) identify an effective means of encouraging retiring eligible managers to become active members of the BCA Mentoring Program; (2) assist the Executive Liaison on day to day mentoring activities associated with the administrative and operational aspects of the BLN Retirees membership; (3) will be responsible for the selection and replacement of all Salary Job Classification (SJC) event coordinators; (4) hold independent monthly meetings with his or her mentoring event coordinators; (5) be responsible for all day to day operations of mentoring event coordinators to ensure that appropriate administrative activities with BCA Enhanced Onboarding Project, Internship Programs, Boeing Leadership Network, and Community at large activities are orchestrated across all teams in a universal manner; (6) revenues and expenditures are managed per BLN Executive Board policies and procedures; and (7) all mentoring event coordinator activities need to be approved by the BLN Retirees Board prior to initiating the BLN-R mentorship event.

Social Connections Liaison (appointed) — The associate principal officer of the Retirees Committee reporting to the Executive Liaison Officer and represents that organization with the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) and other organizations at the request of the Executive Liaison Officer. The Social Connections Liaison Officer shall (1) participate as a non-voting member of the BLN Executive Board in the absence of the Executive Liaison Officer; (2) assist the Executive Liaison Officer on day to day activities associated with the administrative and operational aspects of the BLN Retirees membership; (3) will be responsible for the selection and replacement of all event coordinators; (4) hold independent monthly meetings with his or hers Event Coordinators and invite the Treasurer to those meetings; (5) be responsible for all day to day operations of Event Coordinators to ensure that appropriate Revenues and Expenditures are managed per BLN Executive Board policies and procedures; and (6) all Event Coordinator activities need to be approved by the BLN Retirees board prior to releasing funds for the each event.

Travel & Tours (appointed) — The Travel & Tours Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Travel & Tours Coordinator shall: (1) Support large as well as small group travel reservations for the Boeing Leadership Network Retirees members; (2) Ensure to confirm availability plus convey tentative itinerary to respective traveler for approval; (3) Confirm reservations, distributes tickets along with confirmations to traveler; (4) Coordinate, supervise and implement every aspects of travel arrangements for Retirees members and families; (5) Resolve Boeing Leadership Network Retirees organization travel related technical conflicts; (6) Verify entire group reservation request for correctness against travel profile and itinerary; (7) Identify most suitable as well as best quality service with reasonable possible rates; (8) Perform with Travel Agency to verify travel details and arrange reservations using existing flight schedules as well as Internet resources; (9) Conducts post-travel evaluations, analyses and reports back to the Social Connections Liaison and Executive Board; (10) Propose tours after screening travel industry publications and tour operators’ promotional literature; (11) Plan domestic tours including lodging, food and transportation arrangements; (12) Negotiates with tour operators on domestic and international tour packages and ticketing; (13) Arrange pre-tour briefings; arranges for space, speakers, refreshments and audiovisual equipment; (14) Price tours and determine the cost to the event; (15) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (16) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; (17) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (18) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Community Outreach (appointed) — The Community Outreach Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Community Outreach Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Community Outreach Committee provide opportunities for Retirees members and their families to be involved in civic and community projects or activities; (2) Organize Retirees event coordinators to support volunteer activities within our community agencies and organizations that are requesting support; (3) Publicize community outreach opportunities in the monthly Retirees newsletter and website publication; (4) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (5) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; (6) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (7) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Education and Finance (appointed) — The Education and Finance Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Education and Finance Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Education Committee develop, promote, and maintain programs appropriate for the educational and financial development of the Retirees members and their families; (2) Assist with developing and implementing leadership mentoring programs available to BLN active membership; (3) Identify and submit periodic financial and retirement related articles for Retirees newsletter and website publication; (4) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; and (5) Attend events and meetings as requested by Social Connections Liaison; (6) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (7) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Health and Welfare (appointed) — The Health and Welfare Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Health and Welfare Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Health and Welfare Committee develop, promote, and maintain programs for improving the health and wellness of the Retirees members and their families; (2) Submit periodic health and welfare related articles for Retirees newsletter and website publication; (3) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (4) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Social Connections Liaison; (5) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Social Connections Liaison and (6) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Social and Family (appointed) — The Social and Family Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Social and Family Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Regional Activities Chairperson develop, promote, and maintain programs appropriate for the entertainment and family development of the Retirees members and their families; (2) Assist with developing and implementing Performing Arts, Sports, and Family Oriented Activities available to BLN Retirees membership and their families; (3) Identify and submit activities for Retirees newsletter and website publication; (4) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (5) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Social Connections Liaison; (6) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (7) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Recreation Activities (appointed) — The Recreation Activities Leader reports directly to the Social Connections Liaison Officer and represents the Boeing Leadership Network (BLN) Retirees Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connections Liaison Officer. The Recreation Activities Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Regional Activities Chairperson develop, promote, and maintain programs appropriate for recreational activities for the Retirees members and their families; (2) Assist with developing and implementing sport activities available to BLN Retirees membership and their families (e.g. golf, skiing, bowling, hiking, etc.); (3) Identify and submit activities for Retirees newsletter and website publication; (4) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the Retirees Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (5) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; (6) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (7) Coordinate all approved events by the Social Connections Liaison Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Member(s) at Large (appointed) — The Member at Large shall be available to substitute for other Social Connections Leaders for meetings, vacations or unavailability. They shall also sponsor event and social activities of their choosing that are of interest to members. They may also attend BLN Active Committee meeting in place of other Social Connections Leaders. Also, they shall be considered a Program Leader in waiting, should a board position become available.
The Member at Large shall: (1) In conjunction with BLN Social Connections Liaison and other Leaders, provide opportunities for Retirees members and their families to be involved in events and activities; (2) Organize and manage Retirees events in support of Leaders when they request support; (3) Attend events and meetings as scheduled by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; (4) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Retirees Social Connections Liaison; and (5) Coordinate approved events as required by the Social Connections Officer with the BLN-R Newsletter, Facebook, and Website.

Habitat for Humanity (appointed) — The Habitat for Humanity Leader reports directly to the Social Connection Leader and represents the Boeing Leadership Network Retirees (BLNR) Association and other organizations at the request of the Social Connection Leader. The Habitat for Humanity Coordinator shall: (1) In conjunction with the BLN Community Outreach Committee provide opportunities for BLNR members and their families to be involved in Habitat for Humanity projects or activities; (2) Organize Habitat for Humanity event coordinator(s) to support volunteer activities within our community agencies and organizations that are requesting support; (3) Publicize Community Habitat for Humanity opportunities in the BLNR newsletter and website publication; (4) Submit budgetary requirements in a timely manner to the BLNR Treasurer and Executive Council for approval; (5) Attend events and meetings as requested by the Social Connection Leader; and (6) Accomplish special assignments as requested by the Executive Board Liaison and Social Connection Leaders(s).

FINANCES
BLN Retirees Committee members shall be exempt from the payment of membership fees and dues. The Committee receives an annual budget from the Executive Board. Generally, the same guidelines for processing finances as the Puget Sound Committees apply to the Retirees Committee.
COMMUNICATIONS
The BLN Retirees Committee events and activities are shared with all retired members via email and the BLNR web site.
